BEACH PARTY AT MENJO'S

Here is a chance to show off that tan you have been working on all season long at Menjo's Beach Boy of the Year Contest. DENISE MICHAELS WINS IN OHIO

Caeser's Palace's own Denise Michaels has captured the title of Miss Ohio Female Impersonator 1982. The contest was held at the American Legion Hall in Canton, Ohio. Miss Michaels was one of fourteen contestants from all parts of the Buckeye State. Denise's "Betty Davis Eyes" number brought the crowd to their feet in a 10 minute standing ovation. In addition to the $1,200 cash prize Denise will also represent Ohio at the Miss Gay America Pageant in Dallas, Texas in September. Congratulations from Cruise Weekly, Denise.

DOUGLAS DUNES TO HAVE SALE

One man's trash is another man's treasure or so the saying goes. Douglas Dunes will give you a chance to share those treasures at their first ever Gay Outdoor Flea Market. The market will be open from 9:00 am 'til 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 22nd at the ever popular resort in Saugatuck/Douglas near Lake Michigan. If you can't find the perfect treasure at the flea market, why not stick around for their regular Saturday afternoon Tea Dance-Bottom's up?

MR. MENJO'S TO BE CHOSEN

Cash prizes and the coveted title of Mr. Menjo's await the winners of the Seventh Annual Mr. Menjo's Contest. The contest will be held at the ever popular disco located at 928 West McNichols on Friday, August 28th. Contestants will vie for the title in categories of Dress Wear and Swim Wear. Contestants are asked to register by 9:30 pm so that the show can begin promptly.

WANT TO BE A TRAVLIN' MAN

A "Total Western Experience" is promised by the Selectmen of Detroit as they host their Travlin' Man VI the weekend of August 28-30. The site for this year's run is the Hell Creek Ranch in Hell, Michigan (17 miles Northwest of Ann Arbor). Motorcycle Events, Horseback Riding, Canoeing, and Cocktail Parties are just a few of the events that will fill out this memorable weekend. The ranch opens at noon on Friday with registration to begin at 6:00 pm. So kick up the kickstand and cruise over to Hell for a real bronco busting weekend with the Selectmen.

MR. TNT TO BE CHOSEN

Thursday, August 27th is the date set for the Mr. TNT Bar Contest. Come watch some of Detroit's hottest men strut their stuff as they vie for the title of Mr. TNT Bar. While you are there at 13333 West Eight Mile why not take a stroll out on their fabulous Patio Bar and enjoy some famous Stroh's Ice Cream or delicious hot dogs-served the way you like it.
